I must say, I had no idea this guy even existed until I started perusing through some The Fader podcasts I had on my iTunes. I was getting ready to delete a bunch of them because I simply didn't like the few that I heard but, I found myself stuck on the last one to be deleted.

Hudson's song, "Rising 5," (beginning at about 1:37 below) was the last song featured on that particular podcast and it caught (and kept) my attention the whole way through. You can find out some more info about his extensive history in music making and DJ-ing on wikipedia. The collection of snippets below are from his upcoming album Butter due out October 12th, 2009. For now, though, take a listen and get acquainted with this fellow from across the pond if you are not already familiar.

...if being compared to Obama (quite frequently) by my colleagues is such a good thing anymore. He's growing to be a tad disappointing...quickly.

...if people are aware of the long-term negative effects bringing the 2016 Summer Olympics to Chicago are.

...why I finally own a tv but keep putting off getting cable. Oh wait, no I don't (insert witty joke from any of the public displays of ignorance we've seen in the past few weeks).

...how many Obama comparisons I would stop getting if spoke up more in class. I'll let you know soon.

...what would happen if people studied the life of Jesus as much as they do that of Jay-Z.

...when having patience with the direction of my life will begin to bear some of the fruit I've been waiting on for years. Guess I'll have to wait to find out.

...if you have trouble staying awake while reading (for class) like I do. Some authors are literally like sleeping pills for me.

...if the rose-colored Ray Ban's have come off yet and people have realized that Obama will not save them, their mommas, or the south side of Chicago from anything. (I know, I'm goin' in on Barry on this post. Chill, you'll live.)

...if you are doing all you can in the battle of having faith and giving God your worries.

...when we'll stop blogging about it and start being about it when it comes to decreasing this violence in Chicago. On that note...

I'll be getting back to updating the blog soon. In the mean time check out Thor Winston. I heard some of his tracks and this R&B singer/guitarist shows a lot of promise. Ok, so I know this blog and this blog have been pretty much dead for a while now. The summer has been very busy, but great nonetheless and with much productivity. To cap it off, I'll be away for a month-long mission trip. Pray for me folks! As the trip goes on (and the second year of seminary nears) I can assure you both blogs will be revived!
